THE LEGACY OF GRAND MANAN
Grand Manan Island is more than a place—it’s a way of life defined by the rhythm of the land and sea. Tucked away in the Bay of Fundy, this island’s rugged coastlines, dense forests, and rich marine life have shaped the lives of its people for generations.
Islanders have long embraced a deep respect for nature, living sustainably and harvesting its gifts with care and gratitude. Arbor & Shore is proud to carry on these traditions, crafting each product as a tribute to Grand Manan’s legacy. ERIC’S STORY – A FAMILY TRADITION REVIVED
For Eric, Arbor & Shore is deeply personal. As a young boy, he spent countless hours with his father tapping maple trees and gathering sap each spring. When his father could no longer continue, the tradition faded, but Eric always held those memories close. Years later, when Eric bought his own property on Grand Manan, complete with maple trees and a rich landscape, he decided to reignite the family tradition. Today, Arbor & Shore continues that legacy, blending past and present to bring the island’s flavours to life.

Maple Syrup: A
Time-Honored Craft
From Eric’s own trees, our maple syrup is hand-tapped each spring, just as his family has done for generations. The sap is collected and carefully boiled down, creating a syrup that captures the pure sweetness of Grand Manan’s maple forests.
Dulse Seaweed: Harvested

Hand-harvested from the island’s cold Atlantic waters, our dulse seaweed is dried and processed with care, preserving its briny, savoury flavour. Dulse has been a staple for locals for centuries, and we’re proud to continue this sustainable practice.
Harbor Hive Honey:

Our bees work among the wildflowers of Grand Manan, gathering nectar from the island’s diverse flora. The honey is with care, retaining its raw, natural goodness and embodying the island’s unique floral notes.
